I spent a couple hours putting this monster together today. Wow. I think this lounge chair would survive the apocalypse. It is not a \"throw away\" item. It went together well, with no missing (or extra) pieces or mis-drilled holes. It is huge, and feels very solid, not at all rickety. It even came with all the tools I needed to put it together. As I am currently using it in an outdoor tent sauna, I can also attest that it handled 160F with no problem. It also doesn't have any exposed bolts or screws where they will burn you if the chair gets hot. Very nice. Fair warning, though. It's not something that can be easily moved for any distance without a second person. When the box showed up, I had to get the hand truck to get it from the driveway to where I would be setting it up. It weighed over 50lbs. If you are looking for a pool chair that you want to fold up or stack and store in a corner for the winter, this is probably not for you. But do I believe it is strong enough to hold over 400 lbs of human? Yes. Yes I do.
